Baby E's Nursery

One of the fun things about having a little girl is getting the chance to design and decorate a little girl's room.  Dainty lace, pink, ruffles... items that I would never normally use in the decor of our house.

I've slowly begun to put together Baby-E's room now that she's here.  She's not sleeping in there yet which gives me some additional time to pull it together.  When we originally moved into our house her bedroom was Little Man's room.  These two windows are the only windows in the room - which gives me tons of wall space to work with.

We moved Little Man into the room next to ours a couple of months ago and left this room empty for our new little one.  After cleaning through all of the baby gear and assembling the furniture, here's what the room looks like so far...

Quite a work in progress, I know.  We're reusing the furniture from Little Man's nursery.  The crib and changing table are from the Graco Lauren collection.  The curtains are from West Elm (the ones that used to be in the dining room).  Then I just have a little cubby set from Target.  It was a great, quick and inexpensive way to create more storage in Little Man's room when he was born.

Mav wants a pink-on-pink-on-pink room.  Essentially, everything should be pink - the walls, bedding, everything.  I on the other hand prefer more neutral colors with pops of pink throughout.  I think the color scheme will be a pale pink with grays, champagne and off-white.  So far, the only thing I've selected is the wall color.  I've gone with Sherwin William's Romance.  Let's just say it's very pink.  But it's a beautiful soft shade that doesn't overwhelm you when you walk into the room.

Here's a sneak peak...

What are your must-haves in a little girl room?
